Mission
The mission of the Department of Midwifery is to educate qualified midwives who contribute to the protection, promotion, and maintenance of women’s, maternal, newborn, child, family, and community health; adhere to professional ethical principles; are sensitive to human rights and cultural values; adopt evidence-based practices; and closely follow scientific and technological developments. In this context, the Department aims to develop students’ competencies in digital health literacy, artificial intelligence literacy, the effective and ethical use of health technologies, critical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication, teamwork, and lifelong learning. Our Department also considers it a core responsibility to generate scientific knowledge in the field of midwifery, integrate innovative and digital solutions into education and practice, and contribute to the improvement of community health at both national and international levels.
